My wife and I visited the Aloha Tower during a sightseeing day in Honolulu / Waikiki. We were using the Waikiki Trolley to get around town, and there is a trolley stop very close to the tower so it's very easy to get to.
The tower was free to go up in the escalator and from the top you got some nice views of the port area and airport runway, although the city view was mainly just a number of tall newer buildings blocking the wider view.
The area around the tower itself felt a little run down and neglected but if visiting the area it's worth popping to the tower and checking out the cool views. There are a number of bars and restaurants nearby.More
