“Good food but ...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2012

We like the food at this restaurant; however, I should warn against the tables on the lani (porch) that faces the street. Last night as we began to enjoy their good food on that lani the occasional whiffs of garbage from the dumpster just below did not go well with that food and dulled my appetite a bit. Their Inside area or their other lani should be free of the unpleasant stench by the street.

“Enjoyed setting and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2012

On site (previous review of their catering service) enjoyed the many menu choices (Indian and Nepalise),many vegetarian items, servers were most pleasant and attentive. One of lanai locations still pleasant in cooler ,breezy weather.

“Outstanding food & service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2012

I have never bothered to write reviews even though I have read many previously. I just wanted to take the time because the food and atmosphere was great. I was a little Leary with all the restaurants in the same complex but was pleasantly surprised. My in laws are from India and we frequent Indian restaurants about 1-3 time per month and found that everything to be great. We ordered the Tandoori mixed grill, Goa Shrimp, Lamb Biryani, Chicken Tikka Madras, Samosa, Nan and Spring Rolls. I only wished that there were more shrimp in the Goa Shrimp. However everything was fantastic. Also note that it is bring your own alcohol.

We definitely will be visiting again & again.

“Sub-par Food, good atmosphere, bad location”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2012

To start, this is a one time visit review. The food was sub-par. It had a commercial taste. The three dishes were Chicken Curry, Chicken Saag and Chicken Tikka Masala. Curry had good flavor, but the chicken was bland. The Saag was different in that it had cocunut milk mixed with the Spinach sauce. It really had no taste other than a few hints of the cocunut. The Tikka was interesting. It had intense flavor, however it seemed the sauce was an enchilada base vice an Indian/Nepalese base. The plain naan was good though and the rice was average.

The service was not bad, there was several attendants walking around with water and such asking if anything was needed. One of the cooks, I presume, came out and asked how the food was. Noticed he did this with every table after the food was served.

The atmosphere was good, had a relaxed vibe. Looks run down but seems to be what they were going for. Plenty of tables, inside and out.

Cleanliness leave a bit to be desired. Glasses initially were dirty. Water containers need to be dumped and rinsed so particles are not floating in the water.

Other notes: BYOB, Parking gets full at about 6-6:30pm ($1.50). Price is average for Hawaii Indian $11.95-$14.95 for entres.

Overall: Do not recommend, go elsewhere.

“WOW WOW WOW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2012

Loved this place. Okay, so it gets a bit crowded. Go early. BYOB. Relax. The food is glorious, the naan bread is fresh off the oven, the service is friendly, the bill fair. Happiness all around :)
