This was an awesome trip. I wanted to take my wife to see the sunrise on our honeymoon, but didn't want to rent a car. The sunrise tour picked us up at the hotel and drove us up to the mountain. They even provided snacks and breakfast afterwards! The bus driver was very friendly and made the trip seem much shorter then it was and was very flexible. We asked him if we could be dropped off in Lahina instead of our resort and he made sure we had good places to eat there.

I ended up finding this tour group through Groupon and booked a Oahu Circle Island tour as part of our Hawaiian honeymoon, and came across very impressed! We ended up doing this tour on our first full day in Oahu and I'm very glad we did given how much information we learned that came in handy later on in our stay on Oahu.

The bus came by our hotel on Waikiki for pickup about ten minutes after the scheduled time but I wasn't too concerned about that. The bus driver/tour guide the entire time (believe his name was Leo) was awesome and was very attentive and full of great information throughout the entire tour. We checked out some great spots on the island, including Pearl Harbor (which was our main reason for booking the tour). Pearl Harbor is an amazing spot and is a must see if you're in Oahu. The tour went around the island to visit some different spots that were very nice and concluded at the Dole Pineapple Plantation (which is nice, but beware because it seems like a bit of a tourist trap with a lot of different vendors on site).

We had a very good time with this tour and the information we learned that first day became very beneficial and useful as our stay on Oahu continued, so I would definitely recommend doing this tour early in your stay. The only disadvantage to this tour compared to others I saw was that lunch wasn't included, but given that we saved a ton of money going through Groupon with them, it was well worth it!

All in all a wonderful experience. Our tour guide - Charlie - was a sheer joy. He provided an ongoing narrative of the day, the history and our surroundings. He clearly has a passion for the island and his job, and it shows. We were lucky to get to the top and see a picture perfect, clear sunrise. No words can explain it, and it is really a once in a lifetime experience. The only let down was the breakfast one the way back. We passed a number of other tour places stopping for breakfast nearer to the national park. We went back - nearby the airport - and ate a at an old, musty country club where the service was in direct contract to Charlie's graciousness. Folk was ok, but surroundings and poor service was really disappointing end to a wonderful morning. Would still highly, highly recommend.

Very much enjoyed our visit from the time we were picked up by our bus driver/guide, Keao (who was brilliant and funny and even sang to us), to the time we were dropped off after touring Honolulu. Well worth the dollars to visit such an amazing tribute to those who served and died at Pearl Harbour. Be sure to take advantage of the audio guide for only $7.50. It adds greater impact to the tour listening to a few of the living survivors from such a tragic time, and their accounts of what they experienced. A very emotional journey. We were fortunate enough to have our hard cover book on Pearl Harbour signed by two survivors from that day, who give their time freely to honour their fallen comrades. Was a very memorable experience..

The driver was the most awesome person I've met in Hawai'i. There is fun everywhere, and the trip made me know the island of Oahu.
