“Great Hawaiian collection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a very pretty building with a fantastic Hawaiian collection. It is very traditional--a room of feather leis, cases of stone artifacts, ect. It is not exciting, but is a one-of-a-kind.

“WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

This is an excellent museum with a great history. Plan on taking several of their (free) tours. You need to allow at least four hours here. It is very well done!

“Interesting Hawaiian History Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

If you are interested in any Hawaiian History or Culture, Bishop Museum will satisfy your curiosity and answer your questions. Beautiful grounds and historic buildings that offer something for your whole family. They offer traveling exhibits and local exhibits. Staff is friendly and willing to interact and answer questions. Tours are offered. Gift shop and cafe too. We bought annual passes to Bishop Museum and enjoyed a different experience each time we came to visit.

“Old Hawaii”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

This is a very large museum (three levels), and it has an amazing collection of artifacts dating from at least the time of Captain Cook. His death was such a tragedy, and deeply regretted by the Hawaiian tribes.
