Description: In 1965, Ruth Fertel mortgaged her home to buy a little steak house in New Orleans named Chris Steak House. After investing her life savings, she proudly added her name to the original. That's how the uniquely name Ruth's Chris Steak House was born. Ruth established this unique restaurant with no restaurant experience, but she vowed to treat every customer like a guest in her own home. And she clearly knew what steak lovers wanted - the very best beef. Today, as always, Ruth's Chris serves only the finest corn-fed Midwestern beef available, broiled in 1800-degree ovens designed by Ruth herself. The steaks are served sizzling on 500-degree plates so every bite is hot and delicious. And while steak is king, the menu also includes expertly executed seafood, lamb, pork, and poultry dishes, as well as classic appetizers, fresh salads, side dishes, and homemade desserts. The award-winning wine list features more than 250 world-class international and domestic labels. Whatever the occasion, Ruth's Chris Steak House is the perfect spot to gather. Unparalleled cuisine, sumptuous surroundings and service that's accomplished yet never fussy - these are the elements of memorable special events.

Located on the Waikiki Beach Walk, it's a beautiful restaurant featuring the fabulous food Ruth's Chris is famous for. Steaks melt in your mouth and the sides are diverse and delicious. As usually, service is incredible. Walk out the door and your right in the middle of the spectacular Beach Walk with its torches and beautiful fountain....... An unforgettable experience

The best deal is the happy hour. Although they'll get you with the high priced drinks. So that's why they call it "Happy" (they are happy) the pu pu's were good. Especially worth trying is the flaming oysters! We bought a deal from Costco where u pay $79 for $100 worth. a few pu pu's, 2 drinks each, 1 meal **poof!** money spent! Soooo (drum roll) about that steak that is all of the pics that draws you in? Tender, yes, flavor? Notta. I've been dying to sink my teeth into this. I even splurged for blue cheese topping. Disappointed. So, the pu pu's are great. Stick to that.

This is the third Ruth Chris' we have been to and everyone of them never details their prices on their posted menu but you know that it is going to be pricey. The steaks are always excellent as is the spinach au gratin and grilled tomatoes. Service always done in a duo is attentive. Is the steak worth the price? Depends on how much you like steak but the sides are definitely pricey for what you get.

Ate here with my wife for my birthday dinner.. We were both in the mood for steak that night, although we have excellent steak places at home, including a Ruth Chris, I had never eaten there before.. We sat outside on the patio area overlooking the many shops and tourists below. Our server was "Joe" and he had a "partner" whose name i forgot.. both were very friendly and attentive. Joe was did an excellent job, he was on point and very proffesional. This is not a cheap place - you kind of have to go inside, take a seat and get a table menu to find the fees..I got a regualr rib-eye (about 12-13oz) for $49 and my wife had the 10oz Petite steak for $47, got two sides (which are large enough for 2-3 people to share) for about $14-16 each (sauteed spinach and mash potatoes). This didnt count the price of drinks and tip.. I got a free desert (on fire strawberries) for it being my b-day along with a happy bday card - a nice and much appreciated touch.

The steaks were phenomenal, cooked to perfection and very thick cut. The sides were very good aswell we loved the spniach. Overall it was a great dining experience with excellent and attentive service, our server Joe was a star, the meal was delicious, yeah the price was a bit higher than usual, but it was all quality.

We had a 60th birthday dinner here recently and although the food was okay I think it is very over priced for what you get.
