The setting was pretty, service attentive and food delicious - although a bit pricey. Had the best shrimp cocktail - Tiger shrimp - cooked perfectly.

Modern, with a view. Great food, inspired asian cuisine with a lot of fresh fish on the menu. Great service, nice view, right on the beach.

My only gripe, there is no bathroom in the restaurant. For this class of place, and for this much $, to have to leave the restaurant and go use the bathroom next to the pool....it kind of ruined the ambiance a bit. Still, worth a visit

Azure is in the Royal Hawaiian. Both the restaurant and the hotel are must sees. The view is amazing, the service is very good. The food is good as well, but not up to the prices or the reputation. A good way to look at it is to compare hotel costs. The RH just plain costs more than other similarly situated hotels. That is what you are paying for a Azure. Not that it is not top shelf. It is. But you can eat as well in Honolulu for less.

The hostess' did not present a very good first impression..we arrived on time for our reservation, but were told we needed to come back in 15 minutes or so....there were lots of open tables, so this really didn't make sense...after 20 minutes, my husband was ready to blow a fuse and asked the hostess when we could be seated and she said she didn't know we were waiting! Anyway...the wait staff was excellent, the wine list superb and the fish menu divine... Our guests commented that this was the best Ahi that they had ever had in their lives. I had the opah which was also delicious...a definite must for a nice night out in Waikiki...also tour around the lobby of the Royal Hawaiian...it's stunning!

We were holidaying in Waikiki and booked this restaurant to celebrate my partner's birthday.

Great disappointment!

Average food/service, had the tasting menu with pairing wine, cost $99++, thank goodness we shared as we had a very late lunch st The Cheesecake Factory.

The cappucino fish/something tasted disgusting (who would put fish into a cup of capuccino!), I know innovation is well regarded in Chefs but this is just pure disgusting. The rest of the tasting menu was average, only one we liked was the minute steak.

The wine was horrible too, only the white wine was drinkable and the dessert was like ice cream from the normal supermarket container.

Though sea-facing, we don't recommend dining at night as it was so dark, we could hardly see our meal and what we are eating!

Service was too slow for our comfort, probably good for couples starting out and getting to know one another but if you were like us, married for 14yrs, (don't get me wrong, we are a very loving couple, hence the holiday in Hawaii and the birthday dinner) you would proably not need 2hours for dinner, as we would have been better off shopping in Waikiki!
