“Nice lunch break”

The best part was dessert - Michelle's Waialua Chocolate Candy Bar," her answer to the Snicker's bar—sticky, thick and fudgy with layers of macadamia nut praline crunch, Hawaiian salt caramel and chocolate ganache.

“Best restaurant in Ala Moana Center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

You cannot make a better choice than dining here after a hard day of shopping. Local Pacific island cuisine is beautifully presented and is the hallmark of Alan Wong's restaurants. And, lucky for us, it is tucked right inside Macy's!

“Delicious healthy food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

This place offers delicious food that is really healthy. The bread is amazing and the staff are very friendly. We were staying next door at the Ala Mona Hotel and this place by far out weighed the restaurants on offer there. I would really recommend eating here. The only thing that was a little frustrating was finding it in Macy's. I think it would be far more popular if it was a restaurant on it's own.

“Lilikoi Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

My husband and I arrived in Honolulu from L.A. This morning and a cousin said she loved the food at The Pineapple Room, so we went there for lunch today. He had the ahi sandwich and thought it was sensational (who knew you could crust it in furikake and add cheese and have a fantastic result?!), and I really enjoyed the fluffy tempura mahimahi sandwich. But it was the Lilikoi Bread Pudding Brûlée that put us over the top! It's made with malasadas and every bite is a little bit of sweet/tart creamy heaven in your mouth.

The restaurant is inside Macy's at Ala Moana Shopping Center, so it's noisy and busy - not the place if you're looking for romantic ambiance. But if you're looking for utterly delicious modern twist on Hawaiian food, or you simply love yummy food, this place should be on your Must Try list.
We're happy we did, and are ready to go back for more!

“One of our best meals in our long lives”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

We went to Alan Wong's Pineapple Room on the spur of the moment and it was one of the best things we did in Hawaii. Since we were in Waikiki without a car, we took a bus to the shopping center which was very convenient and easy. My husband and I had the tasting menu and every course was outstanding. Until this experience, a restaurant in Barcelona was the best meal ever, but now the Pineapple Room has topped that.
