“Excellent fresh fish & oysters”
Reviewed January 27, 2012

This is located in the Food Court in the International Market. This is like a take-out and not a place for sitting down and being waited on. You stand in line to order, pay and then receive your food with plastic utensils. There are table and chairs in the area. Do not expect a beautiful ambience view area - just excellent food. You can watch them cook and prepare the food. You will see mostly local people and not tourists eating in this area.

This restaurant is actually in the food court in the International Market place. It was the place that had the longest line. We got the poke and shrimp & vegetable tempura plates at lunch. Like any other heavily visited tourist area the prices were a little high but the quality of the food more than made up for it. There was a reporter and photographer there writing up a story and taking pictures of the plates of food. If I ever go back to Honolulu I will return to this place.

“Good food”
Reviewed December 30, 2011

Blue water has good food and big portions. Atmosphere...well, it's in the international marketplace food court. Hubby had the salmon, which he raved over. I got tempura shrimp the first time, which was great. Went back the next night and got the garlic shrimp to share. Surprise! The shrimp weren't peeled. Huge mess and lost all of the flavor when we peeled them.

“Excellent value for money”
Reviewed December 24, 2011

We went twice to eat there. The first time we had fish and chips and prawn tempura at lunchtime, the second time we had garlic prawns and thuna in the evening.
The fish and chips were the least enjoyable dish of the 4.
The fish was tasteless and dry. The rest of the dishes were great. I would go there again, but choose the thuna and the garlic prawns.
It does get busy in the evening as one of the local magazines aimed at Japanese visitors has a 2$ off coupon which is very popular.
It is a stall in the local food court, so don't look for a sit down restaurant with waiters, but it is worth finding the place. It is miles better than the high price restaurants in Waikiki.
Dinner for 2 was 23$ and the food is great.

“Pretty good, definitely affordable compared to the rest of Honolulu”
Reviewed December 13, 2011

The food here is fresh and very good, I had the calamari steak and it was incredible. The presentation is quite nice for a little food court place like this, and the portions were plentiful.

The best part, though, is that it didn't cost an arm and a leg like other places in Honolulu, so we appreciated that!
