Food food food.

Upstairs food court is amazing. cheap bear lots of choices
tonkatsu Ginza spot like 5 dollars cheaper for everything compared to downtown waikiki

Octopus balls watch them make it then get it. I don't like tonkatsu sauce they use there though though.

Mochi! stands galore.

Having lived in Tokyo for almost 7 years, I can appreciate this concept called "Yatai-mura." Yatai mura are a cluster o food stands normally set up outside during festivals. The upstairs of Shirokiya inside of the Ala Moana Shopping Center has turned into an indoor version of such. From 5:30PM, their happy hours starts and that means $1 pints or $4 pitchers of beer. From around 8PM, the demographics starts to change to a younger crowd and it can get real busy and hard to find a seat from that point. I recommend getting their on a weekday and as early as you can.

Tasty, fast and the people are polite. This is a large department store in the Ala Moana Shopping center - close to the Ala Moana Hotel. Pretty cool stuff.

Top floor of a Japanese department store. Expansive food court. My wife had a bento box, which she loved. I had ramen; the noodles were very good, but the broth was only warm. Nice place to get out of the Ala Moana crowds.
