My wife loves the new food court. She spends most of her time in the book off reading, while I look for DVDs and video games.

This is a great place to pick up some Japanese food for tourists and locals alike. I was visiting Honolulu for over a week and we'd came here to pick up lunch or dinner (and even just a quick snack stop) when we didn't really feel like going to a restaurant. Sometimes when you're traveling, finding somewhere to eat every meal just got tiring. Even the process, like ordering, waiting for your order, being served, etc. This is coming from someone who likes to eat simple at home most nights a week. I am a foodie, don't get me wrong, but quality over quantity. Anyway, this place is like being back in Japan... lots of choices, mostly authentic, with some other Asian style foods here and there. Convenient and tasty, the prices aren't cheap but reasonable. Worth a stop for sure. FRESH takoyaki!

Downstairs are many Japanese vendors selling clothing, handbags, jewelry and elctronics. Upstairs is much more fun! They have a sort of combination market and take out restaurant. This is a place that you want to wander around before making a food choice. Each vendor will try to get you to purchase from their stand but resist the urge to buy from the first stand. Wander and taste the samples. There is even a Japanese food buffet! Sushi, tempura, noodles, takoyaki, fish and so much more!
