“Great hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

This hike is hot so bring a hat but I think well worth the trip. Takes about an hour maybe a bit more, it has a cool tunnel and stairs as well as the dirt trails. Busy with tourists but not too bad. Looks like anyone can handle it based on who I saw hiking it. There are restrooms and a snack truck (including shave ice) at the bottom. The view was really beautiful and you could really see the crater.

“Short hike with a nice payoff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

The only thing that has bothered me the two times I've visited Diamond Head is that the pathways are very narrow and it makes it difficult to walk with friends and avoid bumping into others. With that said, it's still a great place to visit and offers nice views of Honolulu and other parts of Oahu.

“Fun Hike to the Summit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

It's an easy hike from Waikiki to the summit of Diamond Head. On your way back along Monsarrat Avenue, stop at the Diamond Head Cove Bar for a refreshing acai bowl. They make the best acai bowls on the island.

“Too crowded and no control over numbers”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014

This was just crazy busy! For a reasonably difficult climb it appeared that there was no control over who went up an the only warning was a sign in english warning how difficult it was. As it appeared that the majority of people were non-english speaking - there would be know way of them knowing. i recommend giving this attraction a miss in peak season.
