It was an amazing experience to climb the ladders and walk through the corridors these guys did in WW11, don't know how they did it, but i have a lot of admiration for every one of them. Well worth the visit.

You will be in awe of the size of the ship; especially the size of her main 16" guns; simply monstrous !
Need to plan a minimum of 1 hour for your 'walk about' ...the ship to take it all in! It's truly amazing from the bunks the sailors slept in to their shower facility to the kitchen/galley and the huge expanse of deck area and machinery. Being a female, I had no idea at all what to expect; but it was simply fascinating!
Time just slips away as you meander this monster of a ship.
Well worth your time and money ; unforgettable experience.

I had forgotten that this ship was recommissioned to service for the Operation Desert Shield. The ship is amazing. It was the platform for the signing of the peace treaty. How ironic that the ship points to the Arizona memorial....the beginning of the War.....as you stand on the Missouri where the document was signed to end the war.

Just think you are on the same place where the end to world war II was signed. It is open and you may go below deck
