Owner description: Since opening in January 1999, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has attracted more than 8-million visitors from around the world with a fascinating tour experience showcasing the USS Missouri’s unique place in history. Located a mere ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial, the Mighty Mo completes a historical visitor experience that begins with the “day of infamy” and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and ends with Japan’s formal surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. The USS Missouri had an astounding career over five decades and three wars – World War II, the Korean War, and Desert Storm – after which it was decommissioned and donated to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association operates the Battleship Missouri Memorial as a historic attraction and oversees her care and preservation with the support of visitors, memberships, grants, and donations.

we enjoyed closer look at battle ship. tour time is 2-3 hours, but you can cut it down after few things. Shuttle from USS arizona memorial is very comfortable.

When we boarded the ship there was a guide who took us on a very informative tour to various parts of the upper deck. Ending at the spot where the Japanese signed the declaration of unconditional surrender. It seemed surreal to be standing right on the spot where WWII officially ended. Visitors are then allowed to visit other decks of the ship on their own. If you're interested in naval history, I think this would be considered a must see.

Big ship, really, really cramped inside. Don't know how they got cameras in there to film the movie BATTLESHIP.

Take time to do the whole Pearl Harbor experience with the Arizona Memorial, the Aviation Museum and the Bowfin. It's worth it and good to remember the sacrifices of those who gave their lives for our country.

We went on board and joined the guided tour. Our tour guide was great. Very knowledgable. There is a lot to see here so give yourself plenty of time to wander through.

there is a shuttle that takes you to the Missouri. Once there the staff gives a short informative tour, then you are free to roam the inside and outside of the ship with lots of information.
