Very nice visit. Free parking. Ideally get there early before 9 am. It gets crowded but plenty of parking down the road. Tickets for the Arizona memorial movie and boat ride are free. We also did the submarine museum and tour and was worth it!

I have missed feelings about our visit. The entrance is free but everything else (except the Arizona which gives out limited tickets) is an additional expense. We traveled with three boys under 8 and it seemed exhibits were mostly for adults. In addition, we were met with rude staff.

A good day activity. Very educational and worth your time. Go early as the free tickets for the USS Arizona are limited and parking fills up quickly. Queue moves very quickly. They open at 7am and by about 9am all free tickets are usually gone. Make sure not to bring any bags or backpacks, they're not allowed in; there are lockers if you need them. Be aware of those offering tours; the navy does not allow guided tours on their premises. "Guides" will give you info on the way there but the site you'll do on your own. You're better off ordering 7.50 usd for the audio guide and thus also supporting the upkeep of the site.
At the time of our visit, the Arizona memorial was closed for maintenance but we still got to get on a boat around it. Usually you'd get off on the memorial and can see the boat underneath.
The USS Bowfin was great as well! Highly recommend that. The submarine is in excellent condition and you'll really experience what it's like to be in such a vessel.
We spent about 2 hours in each site.
You'll spend a lot of time in the sun, bring hats and wear sunscreen.

We arrived by 6:45am to line up, best decision we made. Lots to see before the show and boat tour, there is a museum, submarine you can board for a cost, lots of green space to walk around and a gift/snack shop. The video in the theatre is moving. And the boat cruise is great and touching. If you get sea sick nothing to worry about as the water is calm and the boat is stable.

I recently visited this Memorial with my husband, children, and grandchildren. It is a beautiful and sobering reminder of who we are. The narrration of the two young men who drove our boat brought tears to my eyes as they pointed out the locations of the various ships in harbor that morning, and the many lives that were lost. And then my heart filled with pride as they told stories of how some of the sunken vessels were salvaged and went on to help win World War II. As the daughter of a World War II veteran, this Memorial holds special significance for me and my generation.
