Diamond Head Grill is a quaint little place with outdoor food counter. Outdoor seating along the sidewalk makes it easy to decide on seating! ^_~

Have been here a few times once on a "date" and once with my kids. Each visit was easy and tasty! We had the Kalbi ribs and the Teri chicken plates. All food scarfed down in minutes with no requests for seconds. NOT because it wasn't ono, but because it was JUST the right amount of food.
LOVE the option for white or brown rice, Plantation Ice tea...MUST HAVE!

Each time I noticed the sign offering military discount and immediately took advantage of the 20% off they give to active duty members. Truly appreciated as it's not often seen...let alone advertised without having to ask.

Service is good...friendly and direct. Get the order in and move over! LoL.

I would reccommend to anyone happening by!

We went 2 x to get the lunch plate lunch. Enough for 2 small eaters. BUT I could have had my own because the taste was pretty good for a "dinner, drive in and dives" kind of place. Lol
Choice of white or brown rice. And the rice is excellent....not gooey.
We had char su chicken and teriyaki chicken. Excellent!
No place to sit is right, unless your lucky enough to get a bench. But the park is just down the street.

This place can get very busy at lunch and dinner- if you can, I recommend calling in your orders. This is strictly a takeaway place, there are 2 benches you can eat at but they are usually taken. You have the option of ordering brown rice with your plates and toss salad, which make for a healthier version of a plate lunch. The mix plate is my favorite, comes with char siu pork, hamburger patty(complete w/brown gravy and onion!) and teriyaki chicken. Seriously, the mix plate will feed 2!
Next door is the market which sells wine, desserts, pre made entrees, salads, fancy sodas and their to die for scones!

We stopped by this morning for breakfast. Ordered pancakes and bacon and eggs. Maybe it was because it was almost 10:30am, but the bacon seemed as if it was made yesterday...stale, beef jerky-like. The pancakes were burnt, too bad we didn't open it up before we left, we would have returned it. Funny because we waited so long for the bacon and eggs, the pancakes were ready quickly. The workers also need some supervision because on numerous occasions, we've seen them eating in the kitchen, drinking soda...so unprofessional. They have gone down hill, lucky that they have the market...it must keep them afloat.

We had breakfast there a couple of days ago. The food was simple, no nonsense. We ordered blueberry pancakes and omlets. The omlets were good. Thank goodness we asked for less cheese because there was plenty. The pancakes were large and fluffy but the syrup with a maple leaf on the front was a concoction of chemicals and ingredients such as corn syrup. Sadly, a cheap alternative.
There was plenty of seating at benches out the front but they were all in full sun in winter, which was incredibly uncomfortable.
The scones were yummy with big dollops of cream cheese baked into them. The banana one was our favorite.
