Friends recommended the Copper museum, so glad we went. Beautiful, well kept museum, nicely set up. Several gallerys full of copper items, enjoyed the artillery room, breath taking designs done on the shell casings. A large collection of over 5000 works of copper art and architecture from 3500 B.C. to present day.

After having lunch at Violette's kitty corner from this attraction we decided to see what the Museum was all about and we were so delighted to tour this gem. Even though my wife and I have lived in the state each for over 55 years and were taught a lot about the copper industry, we learned more in 2 hours than in all those years. This has to be a must see for schools, colleges and anyone coming into this part of Arizona. Wish they had some kind of gift shop. My appreciation for how neat, clean and especially how amiable the proprietor is that will keep checking to see if you need anything or to give additional tips. What a fantastic place!

Hi and thanks for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the museum and your time in the area. The copper museum tells an untold story by utilizing what humankind did with the metal. Art and purpose were the primary uses throughout all of history and we have over 6000 artifacts on display as evidence. Arizona = The Copper State!

Thank you for your review.
The Copper Museum tells an incredible story, one that starts here in Clarkdale. Our copper from this town and Arizona spanned the world and was touched by virtually everyone, fashioning it into purpose and art. Now our copper has finally come home, rightfully to Clarkdale and the Copper State. Copper - The world's most beautiful metal!

This was probably the best museum I have ever visited! We spent about two hours visiting the Copper Art Museum. It was an excellent variety of history, art, memorabilia, geology and humor. The museum is housed in the old high school and includes stories about the high school. The only downside was that there was no gift shop. Very reasonably priced.
