“Step back in history”
Reviewed May 31, 2012

This historic site has great displays of the planes that the airmen flew, parachutes and other artifacts. It also has a lot of information on the history of the airmen. The displays in the buildings on either side of the hangar are air conditioned but the hangar is not, so be prepared on hot days. It definitely is worth a stop off the interstate to see this historic place. Make sure to turn at the Moton Field Municipal Airport sign (as that is where the actually building is) and follow the road back to Hangar 1, the NHS signs still point you to the old parking lot.

“enlightening experience”
Reviewed January 27, 2012

A small museum that is so packed full of information, photos, narratives, and exhibits that you leave there knowing it was a worthwhile visit.
I was a little confused of the location listed. Moton Field, 1616 Chappie James Ave. Tuskegee, AL is the destination of the museum.
