Wisdom's is a family owned 3rd generation restaurant that has lots of local southwest ambience and very good food. We often take out of town guests there and it has always been a hit. They are known for their fruit burros that are big enough to split 3 ways. Almost every time I order their salad and soup which is not like any other. They do special feature nights and their rib night once a month is worth a visit with tender flavorful ribs that almost fall off the bone. With music on weekends, you had best get their when they open about 5 or most of the time you'll have to wait. It is always worth the wait.

This is the standard by which all other Mexican resturants are judged. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is awesome. get there early to assure seating, but well worth the wait.

This establishment is open Monday to Sat from 5 to 8. We arrived at 5:50, got a table and ordered our meal. As they advertise that they serve Mexican, we ordered enchiladas and were given the most tasteless bland meal I have ever eaten. Now, I am a fast eater. Wife is slower. But they were clearing off the table before I was finished. I guess they wanted to make sure everyone was out before 8. Not relaxing in any way. They clearly rely on aggressive promotion rather than on quality of product and service to support their business. I have had Mexican food that was twice as good for half the cost in Calgary (and we do not have a Mexican tradition here).

We both ordered the Veggie Burrito, which seemed pretty small for $8.75 (came with nothing on the side but some lettuce). It was very bland, not much flavor at all. It contained beans, which I suspect were canned, some rice, some wilted lettuce, and a slice of avocado. No cheese inside, which I was surprised about since it was obviously under the broiler (the tortilla was very tough). Why would you put it under the broiler if there is nothing to melt inside? No salsa inside, nothing to give it any flavor. We mistakenly ordered dessert at the same time as our entree, would have not ordered it based off the quality of the entree. We ordered what they are famous for which is the fruit burrito. As I suspected the fruit was just canned pie filling, which does not taste very good. This was rolled in a tortilla, fried, and covered in cinnamon sugar and was served with ice cream on the side. The best part of the meal was the ice cream, which they probably do not make in house. Overall, we felt like we got ripped off and would not go here again.
