Had a wonderful stay at the Francis Malbone House to celebrate my wife's birthday. Every detail was absolutely perfect. The room was lovely, the bed amazing, and the breakfast and high tea were delicious. Above all the staff and service was excellent. Can't say enough.

We discovered this historic property which is now a B&B this year. Our only regret is that we only found it now after years of weekend get-a-ways to Newport. The owner and staff could not be more welcoming and accommodating. The included breakfast and afternoon tea with pastries are to die for. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Everything was perfect...down to the smallest detail. We can't wait to return.

Room tip: There is a back house with two suites that are special but there is a steep narrow staircase to the second floor where the two suites are.

Dear Sassonsb,

Better late than never- as they say! Glad you heard about us from a previous guest and you were able to enjoy our antique filled inn. It pleases our chef to know that you enjoyed all of his breakfasts and baked goods. Thank you so much for all of your compliments.

Regards,

Will

We just returned home yesterday from a wonderful family long weekend in Newport to celebrate our nephew's wedding. Staying at the Francis Malbone House with family was the perfect choice for us. Our rooms in the Benjamin Mason House next door were beautiful and our daughters enjoyed their pretty rooms in the main house. Breakfast each morning was delicious and afternoon tea each afternoon was a special treat. The innkeepers and staff were always friendly and helpful. In fact, since there were eight in our party they made a special point each morning to set the large table in the main dining room for us. An added plus....the comfy bathrobes in our room! We would certainly stay at the Francis Malbone House on a future trip to Newport.

Room tip: The staircase in the Benjamin Mason House might be a little tricky for some guests.

The Inn is beautiful and full of history. The Court Yard was also beautiful. The people were very friendly and the inn was very clean. We chose the least expensive room, which was small, but it was very clean and the nice. It was such a great location. It is nice not having to find parking when going out.

Room tip: The best rooms are probably the ones that have a garden view or their own private court yard, but very expensive.

Dear Tess,
We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Francis Malbone House. We are fortunate with our prime location. Guest truly enjoy walking everywhere they need to go.
We are thrilled that the gardenside room worked for your needs. They are our smallest rooms but come with all the services as the other rooms at quite a value.
We hope your travels find you back this way.

Warm Regards,
The Malbone Team

My husband and I have been going to the Francis Malbone for our anniversary every August for close to 20 years! We have always had a wonderful stay, the rooms are gorgeous and very clean. The breakfast and 4 o'oclock tea are always delicious and beautifully presented. Parking is included and the Inn is perfectly located so you can walk pretty much everywhere. The court yard is spectacular to behold, the pink crepe myrtle tree is the only one in the northeast. We love it so much, this will be our 3rd visit this summer! (and we snuck in a trip last Fall) My husband and I feel the folks there have become friends, we love Will (the owner) and Janet, we will miss Anna Maria, but we will be fortunate to see her next summer.
You will become a frequent visitor to the Francis Malbone, it is not to be missed if you visit Newport.

Dear Ann,

We are thrilled and flattered that you chose to spend your anniversary at the Francis Malbone House for the past 20 years! It is always a pleasure having you in the house!
We are happy to hear that you enjoy the Crepe Myrtle as much as we do. It is a sight to see and such a rare find in this part of the country. We wait patiently every year for the blooms to come.
We look forward to seeing you again soon. Maybe a winter trip with the blazing fireplaces?!

Warm Regards,
The Malbone Team
