My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in October and loved the Inn! It's in a great location and the rooms are lovely. The breakfasts and afternoon teas are amazing and not to be missed. As the owner of a travel agency I would not hesitate to send my clients to this lovely inn!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard tend to be quiet.

My husband & I have stayed at Malbone House about 5 times around Thanksgiving. Will is a most gracious host; Janet, Suzanne and all the other ladies make sure that all guests are well taken care of. Breakfast and afternoon tea are absolutely scrumptious. The rooms are beautifully furnished and have comfortable beds and plush linens. All I can say is "relax and enjoy the ultimate treat!"

It's a costly place to stay but it will perfect your New England experience. The afternoon high tea has a good selection of pastries and the deco of the property is warm and classy. Great location too.

I spent two nights and it was two of the most relaxing and comfortable nights I've ever spent away from home. The Inn Keepers and staff were friendly and went above and beyond to insure everything was perfect for their guests. Afternoon tea was delicious as was breakfast. I would highly recommend the Francis Malbone House and hope to some day be able to go back to Newport and stay there again!

We stayed one night at the Inn off season. From check in to check out, everything was great. The rooms were very clean, quiet. The architecture inside the Inn is beautiful and there is so much history there. The Inn conveniently located near everything in Newport. The staff was very nice and the food was great. We will definitely stay here again.

The Malbone Inn is the best place we have stayed. The staff was friendly and attentive but also respectful of privacy. The breakfast and afternoon tea and treats were spectacular - especially the cookies!! Janet worked very hard to ensure that guests were taken care of and she clearly enjoys her job. We were surprised with turn down service and choc covered strawberries as a gift from the inn on the eve of our anniversary! We will def recommend this inn to family and friends and intend on visiting again

We recently stayed three nights at the Francis Malbone Inn and had a wonderful experience. We were on our honeymoon and it was the perfect choice. The owner left us a bottle of local wine and a card welcoming us for our honeymoon stay, which was a thoughtful gesture. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms - it was lovely, well-appointed, and cozy. The french doors led to a small garden that was shared with the adjacent room and had a small seating area which was nice. The room was located in the renovated portion of the Inn and had a very comfortable king bed, fine linens, gas fireplace and a double jacuzzi tub. The whole house was gorgeous and well-maintained. The gardens were beautiful and the large courtyard was very nice for breakfast. The food was excellent and plentiful. The baked goods were delicious and changed daily - we woke up to the smell of baking every morning! Breakfast options were very good - breads, pastries, fruit, yogurt and both sweet and savoury main course options. Afternoon tea was excellent too and it was served over a good period of time so we could always make it back without rushing to make a narrow window - again, there were two or three savory dishes served along with several homemade sweets (all of which changed daily), plus tea, coffee and fruit.

We generally don't stay at small B&Bs as we like privacy on our vacations. This inn is medium sized with plenty of space for lounging and dining so guests didn't have to sit together if they don't want to. Serving staff, front desk staff, innkeepers and cleaning staff were all very friendly and professional and attended to our needs immediately. Will was very helpful, warm, fun, accommodating and full of good local tips, and I was glad he was just the right amount of friendly but then left us alone! We were on our honeymoon after all! : ) He and his staff were very efficient in terms of booking reservations for us. We loved that the inn was located close to all the action but was still quiet - we could walk to most restaurants and attractions.

We have no suggestions for improvement, only praise. Overall a wonderful experience. The inn was a perfect place to stay. Great value for money, excellent hospitality and comfort. Newport was lovely and relaxing and all the restaurants and sites suggested were perfect. We will recommend it highly and will hopefully return for anniversaries in the future.
