This was our second stay at the Malbone House. So glad we returned. The owner/staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Breakfast is superb. Afternoon tea has the best treats we have ever had at a B and B. Moreover, the location is perfect. There is no other place I would stay other than the Francis Malbone House.

Room Tip: Try for a courtyard/garden room and if two couples, try to get ones that will share the garden

For a quick, classy get-away, the Malbone House is the answer. Well appointed, impeccably neat and clean. The staff were warm, accommodating , and very knowledgeable. The "Afternoon Tea" is not to be missed. The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything. We will return.

Room Tip: Start the Cliffwalk at Narragansett Ave.

Hi Will
I want to thank you for allowing us the privilege to reserve room C- 3 .It was a beautiful room to spend an overnight away from home .How terrific it was .The Malbone House is magnificent and very special. One regret , we didn't stay for a longer period of time .Rest assured we will do that the next time .We enjoyed our Tea time and fabulous breakfast.
Of course your personality adds to the warmth and ambiance of Malbone House !

Mr Candido,

Thank you for the nice compliments. Yes, next time you must stay longer so we can chat more!! Although the weather was dreary, you both always have "a glass half full" attitude!

Regards,

Will

We just finished our 6th stay at the Francis Malbone house and are already looking forward to a return. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone visiting the Newport area. The accommodations are second to none, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the amenities are extraordinary. On top of it all it has location, location, location. We truly enjoy the peaceful retreat and always leave with a smile. Nothing in the area compares and it's exceptional value for your dollar. Can't wait till our next visit.

We went with another couple and stayed in the Stillhouse room. The Inn and the grounds are meticulously cared for. The service was excellent - we love Will! The breakfast and the afternoon tea was to die for. Everything we tasted was pure decadance. The location was great - plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend this place for a couples retreat.

My husband and I just returned from our third stay at the Francis Malbone house. All three times we have stayed at the Benjamin Mason house (a property adjacent to the inn). We have stayed in both suites, but the Ben Mason is our favorite as we spent our wedding night there as well as this most recent stay. The Inn is so clean and comfortable paired with its formal colonial charm. It is by far the best place I have ever stayed and I have stayed in the best 5 star hotels in many major cities. The added bonus is the delicious breakfasts and the afternoon teas because they have a great chef on staff. And of course the most important part of a visit is WHERE you stay. Location, location, location - it has the best! I hate to rave about this place because if everyone finds out about it, it will not be Newports best kept secret anymore and I will have difficulty getting in there! If you select Frances Malbone Inn as your destination in Newport, you wont be sorry about your pick! - Jennifer M/Andover, MA

Thanks, Jen. So glad you got to experience the Mason House again with Lisa and your spouses. You all seemed like you were having a blast in your own little Newport house. If those walls could talk!! Great to see you again and thank you for introducing the inn to your friends. Have a great summer!

We just returned home after a few days at the Francis Malbone House and I have to say that we are feeling a little sad -- as we wish we were still there! Our visit to this B&B was nothing short of exceptional. We so appreciated the beautiful and impeccably clean room, the caring and attentive staff, the charming and personable inn keeper (Will), the gourmet breakfast (couldn't ask for better!) and the scrumptious afternoon tea. The Francis Malbone House felt like home and everyone there did everything possible to ensure a memorable experience for us. We can't wait to go back...

Room Tip: We stayed in Harborside 3 (in the older section of the inn) and loved it...
