“Beautiful Sunday Morning Sail!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

Lovely Sunday morning sail, the all "gal" crew were amazing! Although it was a cloudy day, we still saw a lot and although we have been to Newport many times, this was the first time seeing some of the sights from the water.

Fun for all ages!

Our morning mimosa sails are certainly a popular choice. And we are really pleased to have such capable women as captains and crew. In fact, although Rachael was the captain in charge, the two female crew are also captains! Thanks so much for your review, and hope we see you next season in Newport on the Adirondack II.

“Beautiful sunset cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I booked tickets online ahead of time for the Friday night sunset cruise. We left at 630 and sailed until about 8. The crew was really nice and gave an overview of the history of the sights we passed. Beautiful views of the sunset. Crew was great. They had blankets and wine/beer for purchase (only a few dollars). Would definitely recommend while here in Newport!

So glad that you and your husband enjoyed your sunset sail on the Adirondack II under full sail & that you appreciated all the amenities on our boat including the blankets. With our season over for this year and the boat bakc in Albany, we look forward to having you join us again next summer in 2014. We're in Newport from Mother's Day till Columbus Day.

“Pleasant trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

Had a wonderful morning cruise with the Adirondack II. The all female crew were friendly, knowledgeable and quick with the sails. Interesting tidbits about the sights along the way. Would highly recommend it. Took an infant and toddler with me and they were very accommodating.

So glad that you enjoyed your morning sail on the Adirondack II under full sail & that you appreciated our knowledgeable all female captain and crew as well as the marvelous views of Narragansett Bay, the Newport Bridge and the harbor. We love to accommodate groups with children and are glad that you brought the infant and toddler on the boat. With our season over for this year and the boat back in Albany, we look forward to having you join us again next summer in 2014 for one of our other cruises: Day Sail, Dark and Stormy Sail, and Sunset Sail. We're in Newport from Mother's Day till Columbus Day.

“Sunset sail around New York Harbor was just breathtaking.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

We had a great time. The views were beautiful and the staff was friendly. Make sure you hold on tight because it gets moving once the sails pick up wind. Also, try to board first because it was hard to find a spot to sit next to my husband after everyone boarded. There aren't a lot of comfortable places to sit.

Hi,
Am so glad you enjoyed a sail on our boat, but I am a little confused. Your review says you sailed on the Adirondack in New York City. But it's posted to the Adirondack II in Newport. Did you sail with us? Please advise, thanks!

“A nice relaxing way to see part of Newport”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

My fiancé and I went on the Adirondack yesterday for the first time. We were a little skeptical because of the price ($40.00) but it was worth every penny. We went on the 5 o'clock boat because the sunset one was sold out, but it was still a great experience. The boat was on time and the crew was exceptional. We sat near the back of the boat and we were able to talk with the capital. Her name escapes me but she truly was one of the nicest people we have met. She was very knowledgeable of Newport and boating in general. The other two ladies who were part of the crew were extremely nice and made our trip very enjoyable as well. They serve complimentary water or cocktails(cocktails are for a small price) on board and they always made sure you had everything you needed. The boat took you out into Newport Harbor and you get to see some of the sights of Newport that you wouldn't normally see unless you were on a boat. It gives you a great opportunity to take pictures of the Newport Bridge and many other attractions in Newport. We loved every minute of our trip and we definitely want to go back and do the sunset cruise and the moonlight cruise(moonlight cruise is only the night of a full moon). If you have ever wanted to take a sailboat ride I would definitely recommend the Adirondack, you won't be disappointed!
