Went on a Sunday morning in March 2013. The place is small but the wait was not too bad. The food is made fresh and a nice variety to satisfy everyone. They only serve breakfast and lunch. That works out because not everyone likes breakfast food. Sat in a tiny corner table near a window on the street. Very cozy and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was delicious and plenty. Nice size coffee cups. I hate those little cups you get in places that hold 2 sips of coffee. If I return to Newport, would definitely go back.

The corner Cafe serves a nice variety of foods - Irish, seafood, mexican, and more - in a cozy setting. The atmosphere is casual and the exposed kitchen and bar make for a very friendly setting. Wait staff are attentive and friendly as well. The owners and family members work there and take care of patrons. This establishment serves a varied - you name it we pretty much have it - breakfast menu and has the eclectic lunch/dinner menu mentioned above. There are usually a few interesting evening dinner specials based on availability of local foods and the chef's creativity. A byob establishment with a midest corkage fee makes this a "check it out" choice. Prices are very reasonable for Newport.

The service was great and everyone enjoyed their food. The kids had pancakes which were a big hit and the hot chocolate was incredible. The even have soy milk which was a great surprise as most restaurants don't have it. Definitely recommend it!

We stopped in for lunch and a warm up from the cold. Corner Cafe feels like your favorite neighborhood coffee house. The service is casual but friendly and efficient. The menu has a creative selection of breakfast and lunch food. The coffee is very good and both of our meals were delicious - a portobello wrap and a Philly cheesesteak wrap. Definitely try the waffle fries!
