The duck was excellent!!! That is menu number S3 on the Chef's specialties. However, the Chef's specialty on seafood combinations should not have been priced at $13.00. It is number S9. They have artificial lobster meat which is not real lobster!!!
I would like the restaurant to indicate a disclosure about paying for artificial meat which is not real seafood. Keep away and ask if the menu has real lobster!!! Stay with recognizable food such as shrimp or beef.
The restaurant in the Bellevue Shopping Center of Newport, Rhode Island.

If you're staying near Belleview Avenue and don't wish to walk all the way down to Thames Street, (or you want free delivery to your hotel) then consider China Star III. There are several tables inside for dining, but it you want authentic gourmet Chinese food (including dim sum) then go to the newly opened Jade Cricket restaurant on Thames Street.
China Star III's owner is a friendly Chinese chap who likes to entertain guests by overexaggerating the prices when taking orders. Don't worry, your "8 million dollar" Beef Chow Fun is only eight dollars and they do a good job cooking it.
There's not much difference between this Chinese fast food restaurant and the one back in your hometown, so again I suggest Jade Cricket if you are seeking a different dining experience. Yet if a quick bite is all you wish, then wish upon China Star.

Just as the title, because that what me and my colleagues did. We were just craving for Chinese food after missing it for so many days. The food was ok, not fantastic or super delicious. Service was fast, food was served quickly after ordering.

We dined here as my husband was craving Chinese takeaway although he has only ever had it in London so I humored him and was fun to just pop into an unpretentious and clean shop just around the corner from our inn. The delivery driver was very friendly; a Newport 'lifer'...We could see why...

I think the second reviewer have pointed out why it's awful and yuck. Food is tasteless and lack basic salt. Waiter need basic etiquette of restaurant service like serving water. We ordered soup which is like boiled chicken in water with noodle. Worst Chinese I ever had.
