Creative menu. Wonderful flavor combinations. Personable service. Corn soup was delicate and sweet. Smoked chicken was delish. Hake was crispy and tender. Elderflower panna cotta was not overly sweet and perfect. Loved the house made Pims cocktail. Nice to sit outside even if not on the water.

Imaginative use of fresh ingredients, wonderful favors, creatively blended. Hard working staff who are really into hospitality. A restaurant for
the gregarious palate, with some chef surprises thrown in for good measure. The only thing that would make it even better is an iconic lager on tap!!

After waiting 30 minutes for a table for 5 when there were at least 4 available tables waiting we finally got seated only to then wait over an hour for three bowls of porridge. They brought half portions to ride us over until the rest of the meal was ready. There is minimal staff. The coffee was terrible and the orange juice not fresh.

We were four for dinner, and all of us ordered different things. While my dinner was ok, it was remarkably unexceptional except for the very high price of, well, everything. Two of the other three folks reported themselves in the one star category - both had fish (one hake, the other salmon) and were convinced it was previously frozen. Given the reviews here, perhaps it was an off night, but if so, it was an off night for four different appetizers and three main courses.
