Description: At Brick Alley Pub we have it all: "pub style" comfort food to modern multicultural cuisine all served with genuine down-home hospitality. Like America itself, Brick Alley is one big melting pot of ethnicities, flavors, and fun. If you are looking for stiff, over the top formal service with small portions of over-priced food, we are not that place. After more than 30 years as one of Rhode Island's most popular restaurants with locals and tourists alike, the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has earned landmark status. Located at 140 Thames Street across from the Brick Market Place in Downtown Newport the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant offers a warm and cozy fireplace in the winter and comfortably air-conditioned dining rooms in the summer. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant specializes in a blend of flavorful steaks, fresh local seafood, pastas, and seasonal specials. Begin your dinner with a selection from our cocktail menu or choose a wine from our extensive wine list. This wine list features over 250 different vintages and has received the Wine Spectator Award for Excellence. Open for lunch and dinner, Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant accepts reservations and offers an upstairs function room that can accommodate up to 170 people. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has received favorable reviews from countless local and national publications including: The Providence Journal, Travel-Holiday, Ford Times, Rhode Island Monthly, and Newport Life Magazine. Popped in for sangria and a lobster/avacado sandwich. Thought that combo sounded unappealing but tried it and it was delicious. Friend had fish tacos. Good place

Great place for fun, casual dining. Menu options for everyone. Nachos are amazing and piled with toppings. The decor is unique and invites conversation and fun. Service is good. Locals love this place, it's even busy in winter. The menu changes, and that would be my only criticism. They took ribs off the menu, they were awesome, so be prepared to change your palate if you return.

You don't expect much from pup food. We went here our first night in town because we didn't want to change our clothes. Thank god we listened to our waiter! He recommended the stuffed sole, saying it was his favorite thing on the menu. Was he ever right! We've had stuffed sole everywhere, but never of this quality or flavor. This was creamy, stuffed with plenty of crab and whole scallops, and just enough breading to hold it all together. Usually all you can taste is the breading. Not here. And the clincher is the lobster bisque topping. It makes the whole dish just heaven in your mouth!! You must come here just for this dish!!! It is really to die for. Forget the rest of the menu, the salad bar, just have the stuffed sole!!

Our family has been eating at the Brick for years! We spend the summer in Newport on a boat and the Brick is where we eat when we don't want to cook onboard. The Salad Bar is to die for! It is so good, so fresh and tons of choices. I'm gluten free and I am always happy with the choices at the Brick Alley Pub! The bar is awesome & the drink/beer menu is extensive. Bring your appetite! The service matches the food and the atmosphere. One of the best places in Newport, don't miss out!

Really big place - unfortunately we were in the back and didn't get a lot of light or views nd with 3 too many TVs on ESPN for a vacation, but the food is fresh and more than enough. Service is spot on. Will definitely go again but ask to sit up front in the sunshine!
