Located at 140 Thames Street across from the Brick Market Place in Downtown Newport the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant offers a warm and cozy fireplace in the winter and comfortably air-conditioned dining rooms in the summer. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant specializes in a blend of flavorful steaks, fresh local seafood, pastas, and seasonal specials. We stopped in for lunch, it was somewhat busy but not on wait yet. They have seating for larger parties, there was a table of 8 seated after we arrived.
The tables are not crowded, tight but you're able to move and navigate if you have to get up.
The place is fantastic, the servers are very friendly and attentive with out being too attentive.
Steph was our server on that rainy Saturday, March 29th, The food was well prepared and looked as good as it tasted.
I had the steak tips and they were delicious and tender. The fries are great and hand cut BIG.
Guinness served in a true Imperial Pint!
I love this place, you have got to at least try it once!! You'll be back !!

Whenever we are in Newport we are sure to have at least one of our meals here.
Food choices are abundant, portions huge ( can be wasteful), but very tasty. Have never had a meal here that disappointed.
Cozy place and great bar for pre and post meals drinks.
This recent visit we tried to make a reservation but couldn't get the time we wanted.we opted for one 1 3/4 hr earlier then we wanted. We were seated promptly.
When we were leaving after our meal and then bar we couldn't help to notice the number of empty tables so we didn't get why we couldn't of had the time we originally wanted. We were leaving about 1/2 hour after the time we requested so I think it would of worked. It's not like march is high season!
If it wasn't for this snafu it would of gotten excellent.

Went for lunch and to watch the Bruins game. Extremely attentive staff. Had refilled drinks before you could even ask for one.

The food was amazing. Definitely recommend the Portuguese steamers and lobster salad sandwich.

The first meal that we enjoyed in Newport was at this cozy restaurant. The entire staff is friendly and offer great service.
The food was just wonderful, and portions were large. We enjoyed it so much that we went there for one meal every day during our stay.
