“Excellent local establishment”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

When i visited the area on a friday night I asked the parking attendant where the place to eat. He chose this place. The place was busy so we decided to eat in the bar. You need to try the portuguese clams. WOW!!! We also tried the fish in a red sauce, fish taco's which both were outstanding. You need to try the triple martinies which there are several flavors. You can tell the locals visit this area quite regualary. The food and service was excellent we decided to eat again for lunch the next day.

“Very popular!”

There was a very large birthday party in when we arrived but they still managed to find room for us. The food choices were good and the portions enormous but very reasonably priced. Worth a visit.

A classic pub with an excellent choice. Take in the history of the pub and owners with the news articles on the way to the loo.

“Busy pub with a good food”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

This pub has a nice variety on its menu - from traditional bar food to New England specialties. I had some nice homemade soup and a delicious salad for lunch. My mate had the chowder and a large sandwich. Both of us enjoyed our food. This looks like a small bar, but the place is deceptively huge. It was packed when we were there on a rainy Tuesday, but there didn't seem to be anyone waiting for a table. Restrooms are upstairs, which could be a problem for those with mobility issues. Maybe there's a downstairs bathroom somewhere that I missed? Next time, I'll try the salad bar. I didn't notice it on the menu or see it in the room we were in, but saw others bringing some nice looking salads to their tables.

“Great Food and Local Atmosphere”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

New Bedford Fisherman Scrod was an outstanding Portuguese dish. Local seafood appears to be very fresh. Salad Bar is a great extra, and 'local' atmosphere was very enjoyable.
