I had planned to visit this restaurant before I even got to the states thanks to a delicious sounding vegan friendly menu and some good trip advisor reviews so I had fairly high standards before I even got there but they didn't disappoint.
We decided to sit towards the back of the restaurant where it was slightly quieter and away from the bar. We begun is a dish of spicy nuts to share which were delicious. I had the vegan special of the day which was an aubergine/eggplant dish.
My sister had the Teriyaki Salmon with Crispy Spinach - I had a bite of her spinach and it was amazing so we asked our server if we could get an extra portion to share! Honestly this was one of the highlights of my meal it was just so good! My cousin went for a short-rib burger with brie in a toasted croissant roll with french fries and my dad opted for the seafood dish of the day. I'd think the chefs here have a real flair for creative flavour combinations, as my cousin discovered with her burger - even the standard restaurant burger and fries were given a culinary twist.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and we weren't rushed into ordering overly fast however our servers were still very attentive. Would recommend to anyone!
If I'd had another day in Newport I would really loved to have gone back for brunch!
