This is a nice little place to stop off on your way to the snack bar. Don't make a special trip. It is not worth it. The tanks, with the exception of one or two exhibits, are small -- about the size of what you'd see at PetSmart. However, the staff is friendly and if you have young kids they will get a kick out of the several opportunities to touch sea creatures.

Admission is a bit steep but think of it as a donation.

Lots of fun for kids. Good spot to go when the kids need a break from the sun and surf. Many hands-on opportunities.

Took our 3 year old here on a rainy afternoon. It is small place but was very enjoyable for the price (3 and under free; $6 for adults) Multiple chances to touch and interact and nice activity table as well.

Check it out if you get the chance and hit the carousel upstairs while you are there.

The aquarium was a bit hard to find, the staff could have been a tiny but more knowledgeable, but if I remember correctly they're just starting out and it's for a terrific cause. There are only a few exhibits but they're great ones. It was very enjoyable in that it was interactive (you could touch a lot of the animals) and all species native to Rhode Island. We got to pet sharks, hold sea stars and crabs (including the cutest little horseshoe crab). The turtles, puffers, sea horses and moon jellies are amazing to watch, too. We would definitely go back in future months/years to support the cause and see how they grow down the road.
