“Conveniently Located”
Reviewed October 23, 2013 via mobile

If you need area info you won't be disappointed in the plethora of brochures available or the well informed, always courteous staff who will happily answer any question you may have. The Center is very conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, wharfs, has ample parking and very clean restrooms.

“Helpful, Fast, Saves Money!”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Just a short walk from the cruise ships, you can find locals at the counter ready and eager to answer your questions. Taxis and buses line up outside of the building and there are tons of brochures and tour tickets to be bought at the counter. Free maps are yours for the asking. Super helpful. Line moves fast.

“Visitor Center Good/Public Transit Stinks”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

If there are cruise ships in port do not rely on public transit/trolley especially if you have small children. 2 cruise ships were in town the day we were there. We bought the on/off all day pass for the public transit system. We should have known with the long lines to get on the bus when we walked out of the visitor center we were in trouble. We went out to Cliff Walk and when we were done went to get on the bus. The wait was over 30 mins. and the bus could only take 2. There were over 30 people waiting. We decided to walk and at each bus stop there were over 10 people waiting and all unhappy. Most decided to walk. I went on the other side of the street and an empty bus went by and waved me up to the next stop. By the time we could get there, he left. The next bus my daughter begged him to let her squeeze on and she went back and got her car and came back to pick us up. We then went to town and had a nice lunch and did some shopping. It is such a beautiful place. It is too bad the public transit puts a bad taste in your mouth about the town. They should not sell more tickets than the bus system can handle. There was a lady with a walking boot on and many elderly. Definitely take this into consideration if planning a day there.

One of the nices group of people I've ever met! These ladies were so helpful and very interested in us as people not just a job. Loved the experience. We stopped there each day to start off. Loved the personal attention we got. Thanks ladies! June and Judy
