Although we were able to walk it, it was not cleared of snow, which made it very difficult, and a bit hazardus. Look out points were"nt cleared of snow either.

Lovely walk with the ocean on one side and Newport's mansions and elegant private homes on the other. The easier walk and easier access is along the northern half; about 1 3/4 miles (from Easton's Beach/Memorial Drive down to Ruggles Ave and The Breakers). Favorite times to walk are early morning and late afternoon...great light and shadows for taking pictures...and a few less people. Dog friendly, and lots of friendly dogs. A "don't miss" attraction while in Newport

One of our first dates took place here and this is where he proposed. This place is magical for us!! When it's colder out, it's pretty cool to see the surfers and when it's really warm, bring a towel or blanket and just sit under a tree and breathe it all in... it's pretty awesome. Though, make sure to feed the meter!!

This is a 3 mile walk you need to experience from start to finish at least once in your life. It's fantastic! Please be cautious as it's not the most safe, but it's an adventure. You are able to connect with history, nature and the friendly people walking/running along the way. I always start at the beach entrance, walk the entire 3 miles and then finish the walk back on Bellevue. It's the best scenic walk I have ever experienced.

We parked down the main road out of Newport where the walk actually began. I think it was about a 2 mile walk to the Breakers. Absolutely breathtaking scenery. It was 19 degrees and very windy when we did the walk, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. We had the path all to ourselves and with the snow flying, it afforded an eery and beautiful view. Seeing the homes from this viewpoint is really something to behold.
