The Vanderbilts really outdid themselves with this 15 room mansion. The tour itself is 19.50 for adults (add another mansion for only $5 more, add lunch and 2 mansions for a total of $45~)
Upon entering, you receive a headset. This audio tour was great because it was very specific about how to get to the next room. There were also additionally anecdotes to add on to the tour. For example, in the main dining room, there were two additionally codes to type in to hear about things like "Summering in Newport" and "Party Season." In one of the girls' bedrooms, there were two additional codes to type in to hear about a "typical day for a Vanderbilt" and a "typical day for a servant's child". All in all, great tour, wish were would have been able to see servant's quarters too.
