Great to walk, it's flat and straight, with some beautiful trees from around the world among the properties of the rich from years ago. Ridiculously huge mansions, many built long ago, that wreak old money. There are tours of several of the mansions, but even if you want to take a nice hour long stroll along among these goliaths, there are nice sidewalks with plenty of trees along the way for shade.

A must visit is the store Seashells in Bloom. They have another store 2 doors down...Curiosite. The mother & daughter that own these have amazing taste. We bought many items and were able to have them shipped home.

Manicured, dotted with huge mansions, large trees - what's not to like. One feature caught my attention. The street lights look like they came straight out of a Lionel toy train catalogue. In the evening they even cast the same kind of warm glow. What could be nicer? A beautiful street to cruse on and a great childhood memory of creating and playing with model trains. Use Bellevue Ave as a starting or ending point for the coast line drive touted by the tour books as a beautiful drive.

It's easy to be numbed by all the great houses on this street. It seems to go on forever. Surprisingly, there are some rather modest houses, and even apartments on Bellevue! Try to keep your speed up while driving - the locals get pretty testy if you slow them down.

Along this drive you get to see tons of mansions and you get to see where the rich live pretty much. The houses were amazing.
