Bellevue Avenue is a quaint quiet tree lined street which goes past many famous mansions, the tennis hall of fame and takes you back into history imagining what it was like in the hayday.

If you like to walk, Bellevue Ave is a top notch walk! Full of beautiful mansions, lots of sidewalk room, and plenty of fresh air. A great walk for those traveling with dogs!

You get a better feel of both the magnitude and the beauty by walking this street than you do by driving it, so take the time and park the car somewhere. Depending upon your perspective, you'll either revel in the opulent excesses from the Gilded Age or be slightly appalled that people could be that self-indulgent. Either way, this street is a great window into that bygone era; there is really nothing else quite like it in America.

Bellevuwe Ave is one of those streets that you just imagine who lives in those MANSIONS, what do they look like, if it was your how would you decorate it :)

I always make it a point to take the long walk down Bellevue, stopping in for coffee and the paper and then going back in time as I walk by the Breakers, the Marble House, and all the mansions Bellevue is known for. I covered a little bit but, considering the wind chill was below 15 on Saturday, I didn't cover all of my favorites.
