Just walking this street offers breath-taking views of properties with giant trees and green grass lawns that are many times the length and width of multiple soccer/football fields. Amazing.

These houses are amazing! Can you believe The Breakers was built by Vanderbilt for the family cottage! And the history of the children playing on tricycles and the staircase was very endearing. The Breakers is a must see mansion!

Bellevue Ave. is the street that provides access to the Newport Mansions. It is very enjoyable to stroll along the avenue from the end of the Cliff Walk at Bailey's Beach toward the Tennis Hall of Fame. The mansions were fabulous to view from the avenue.

Most of the famous mansions are on this avenue. Each one a little bigger then the next. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is also here. A good Starting place for you tour.

This is the street that contains the majority of Newport's famous mansions. We drove up and down the aptly named Bellevue Avenue during our 2-day visit to Newport and every time we were pleasantly surprised by views and glimpses of beautiful mansions on both sides, some of which are for viewing and others - only slightly less ostentacious - are private residences. There is also the Salve Regina University which had somehow planted itself in this beautiful seaside setting.
