The tour was interesting. The guide was very good. There is also a nice exhibit where you can see small movies about the life in 18th century.

There are so many historical sites in Newport. This is one that we found very interesting. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the history of the synagogue is very interesting.

The oldest synagogue in the U.S. beautifully restored. And it's a beautiful bldg, designed by one of the leading architects of the day. But equally memorable was the historical context provided by the docent. She gave a really excellent talk about history of religious freedom in the U.S. the Jewish diaspora, as well as the architecture.

Touro Synagogue is a beautiful spiritual historic landmark. The Synagogue tour is interesting and quite informative. The sanctuary is beautiful and very well preserved.

This was a surprise pleasure of our visit to Newport, RI. Beautiful building, helpful staff and interesting history of religious freedom in the early colonies with relevance for today. Time well spent.
