From our boat tour of the harbor we saw a beautiful white steeple and couldn't wait to go see what church had such an impressive steeple. We were pleasantly surprised to find this almost 300 year old church to explore

This is the beautiful white church in the centre of Newport. It is quite stunning inside, with the interior laid out in private "boxes" each furnished with its own fabrics, chairs, kneelers, so the variety of fabrics and designs is delightful. At the organ end are the two stalls where the prisoners were placed to attend worship! It's well worth visiting for its peacefulness and light, as well as for its historic interest.

We just happened upon Trinity Church and went inside. There was a gentleman giving another group a tour. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The church is beautiful with a grand old organ!

While we were in the area the church was having a strawberry festival and had a quick tour of the facility. Another tour guide said that this was worth a visit when in the area. The church has a interesting graveyard our front, and unique seating not seen in other churches.

This is a must. One of the oldest churches in America.
George Washington prayed at this church.
Allow time for the tour...the church has many many antiques that are used in the services.
If you are there on a Sunday, attend services.I am not of this faith, but enjoyed attending and worshipping with the church members.
