My husband and I stayed for 2 nights (Fri/Sat). The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room we stayed in was clean and smelled great. The continental breakfast was good except for the scrambled eggs - they were a bit rubbery. The rest of the breakfast was really good (make your own waffles, sausages, cereal, juices, coffee, bagels, toast, boiled eggs, yogurt). The hotel is right downtown which is great. Our room had a DVD player so we brought some movies with us - the front desk also has an array of movies to choose from. We also used a white noise machine (the front desk said they had many) as that is what we sleep to on a regular basis.

They charge $10/night for Fri and Sat parking. They changed this in Jan 2013. Luckily, our Hotwire reservation indicated free parking so we didn't have to pay. The parking is also about 2 blocks away.

We would stay at this location again.

The hotel was clean, staff was very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was more than we expected. The hot breakfast in the morning was great, eggs, sausage, waffles plus all the other continental breakfast items. We were right next to a trolley stop and you don't see electric public transportation just anywhere. The only downside was that you have to park in a public garage two blocks down but they do offer a shuttle to it if you need it. We walked because it was nice out. We also realized that the Dunkin Donuts had a happy hour when we went for evening cappucinos and everything was half price. I've never heard of that before. If you like TGI Fridays, it is attached to the hotel (inside entrance as well as outside). We would highly recommend this place.

Thank you for the nice comments. We do love the location here and the free above ground trolley train is very cool. It is above ground for 10 blocks from our hotel to the waterfront with many stops in between.

This is a nice hotel, small in size, but the rooms are comfortable. I liked the suite style room with separate bedroom area, The rom was clean. The heat did not work very well so bring an extra blanket. For being right on the street, you did not hear loud traffic at night- that was a plus.

Thank you for your response. Very sorry about the heat situation. I have asked our maintenance engineer to look at it.

My boyfriend and I travelled from Hamilton, ON, Canada and stayed one night in the Comfort Suites. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff was amazing. The woman was knowledgable about downtown Buffalo and gladly provided directions, a map, and information at our request. She was very personable as well. We had a common link as her husband is Canadian. Check in was quick, and you are offered a bottle of water. They proved free wi-fi, free DVD rental, free shuttle to the parking garage, which is super close tothe hotel and a pretty little walk. The room was amazing. Two tvs, a bathroom that connected to our bedroom and living room area. Very clean, brand new bedding. The staff is unbelievably friendly. There was always someone cleaning the elevators, wiping them down And mopping. The hotel is close to the hockey stadium, food, liquor stores and all other amenities needed. You are also provided with a nice free continental breakfast with make your own waffles and great coffee. They even have hazelnut cream! This hotel is well worth the stay and I can say we will DEFINITELY return again, and again. Thank you for making such a pleasurable stay!!! :)

The location of this hotel was perfect for us, as we were attending a concert at the Tralf Music Hall, which was almost right across the street (close to Shea's Performing Arts Centre). Although there is no parking on site, you can unload near the front entrance for check-in. We were provided with a map and good directions to get to the parking garage, and it wasn't too far a walk. Parking was free and we had in and out privileges (note: there was a sign up that there is now a small charge for parking on Fridays and Saturdays).
Our experience at check in and also at check out was good; staff was friendly and helpful. Your room key is required for use of the elevator as a safety measure; there were two elevators for this 7-storey building and we never had to wait long.
Our room was a small suite. The living room area had a desk/chair, pull-out couch, chair, coffee table plus a bit of a kitchen counter area with a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge. The bedroom had a king size bed which was super comfortable and there was a choice of pillows, plus there was a flat screen TV and DVD player in the bedroom as well as a flat screen tv in the living room. Free DVDs were available from the front desk if you had time to watch a movie. The bathroom had an entry from either the living room or the bedroom. Everything in our room was clean. WIFI was available (you are given the password at check-in). There was also a small business centre in the main lobby area if you needed use of a computer or printer.
Breakfast was provided (self serve), and both hot and cold items were available. The hotel has a TGIFridays (available for room service), which you can access from inside the hotel.
We were here for two nights and would definitely stay here again whenever we return to downtown Buffalo.
