We live just outside Buffalo and were looking for a little "getaway" to start off the New Year. Much to my dismay, a "booking website" stuck us in the Adams Mark hotel. The reviews on Tripadvisor and other ratings sites are terrible, and somehow our "booking website" still thinks this is a "3 Star" property? Okay....we hoped for the best and checked in for 2 nights.

This hotel is a huge embarrassment to the City of Buffalo. It is literally falling apart. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls, the halls are cold and dark, the rooms small and outdated, the windows allow freezing outside air in through gaps and broken closures, the heater in our room ran literally non-stop for 2 days without getting the room up to the 74 degrees we set the temp at.

The pool area should absolutely be condemned and off limits to guests. It is filthy, with an unclean deck, rusted chairs and tables, and rust and dirt falling from the skylight and roof. DO NOT GO BAREFOOT HERE! Even if you could ignore all that, the pool water was too cold to enter! The sauna in the gym was dirty and the light in it did not work to see the controls.

We could find absolutely no reason to spend any time at all in the hotel and were shocked to the point of laughter.
One thing is for sure - having experienced the Adams Mark in Buffalo, we would NEVER recommend it to anyone or consider entertaining clients or guests there. We've also lost a ton of respect for the "booking website" we used for continuing to book this place despite its awful reviews. I'm a businessman and a reasonable person, and frankly, the "booking website" owes anyone who booked this place in the past 3-6 months a refund for completely mis-representing it.

The General Manager of the Hotel has left replies on this and other websites, disputing critiques by other customers. This proves He is both oblivious to what is going on at his own property, and a liar.

In short, the Adams Mark Buffalo needs to be closed, bulldozed, and rebuilt to today's standards.

Until then, I can only send this warning to all who are reading this review: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL -- AT ANY PRICE!!!
SHAME ON YOU, ADAMS MARK!

Room Tip: BOOK ELSEWHERE! If our room is representative of what this hotel offers, please know that there really ARE great places to stay in Buffalo -- this just isn't one of them!

Took kids because of pool,the deck area was filthy,the staff was no help at front desk upon check in,wallpaper was duct taped on near elevator ect... i can go on. definetly wont be back.not worth the money,thought it would be classier, felt like a days in but they give you breakfast in the morning

Our experience at the Adam's Mark in Buffalo was truly am awesome experience. the staff was friendly, clean rooms, and made my family feel like we were at home.

Amber Walsh went above and beyond to ensure all our requests were meet on several occasions. She took the time to send up a piece of Birthday cake to my mother with a card that tritely reflects a dying breed of customer service in America today. Her ability and customer service skills are remarkable and makes her an asset to any organization in providing a level service that is far beyond the call of duty.
Britney Perillo at the front desk also demonstrated a level of service that would make us want to come back again. Thanks for an awesome stay ringing in the New Year!

Room Tip: All beds were extremely comfortable.

Had a very quiet, clean room with very comfortable beds. Clean bathroom, decent view, quiet hallway. After reading all the negative reviews of this place I expected the worst. Friendly staff but they did have computer issues at the front desk that messed up my check in, delaying me by half an hour. Especially liked being able to park underground, right next to an entrance. Saw many airline staff using this place. I can't say it was the most interesting hotel but it gave exactly what was advertised.

Stay away.
Bathroom walls were tearing off,
the corner of the walls above the bathtub had wall fungus.
we had two double-beds, but only one bed seemed to be made (one bed was missing two pillows).
we've booked online and paid the full price prior to our stay,
but my statement shows that the hotel has charged us again.
we were double charged! be aware, and make sure this doesn't happen to you.
Overall, we had a horrible experience and will definitely stay away from Adams Mark in the future.
