I am not a fan of the red saloon atmosphere, very masculine BUT I am a fan of their steaks, salads, and sides. I travel constantly and eat steak out all the time. This is simply one of the best steaks I have ever had! Cooked perfectly, seared on the outside, juicy flavorful melt in your mouth to heaven steaks!

Nothing can be taken away from the taste of the food. BUT there is no reason to offer a 32oz prime rib or a 20oz strip steak. Everything is a la carte. A side order of mashed potatoes @$8.00 could feed a family. The hugh portions make eating there too expensive. Cutting the portions by 1/2 would bring the tab down to only over priced. Figure $55 per person with 1 side no drinks or wine, coffee or dessert.

The bar is lively , and the steak is good but the prices are way too high for what you get. Either way the food is good and the are many worse places to eat in Buffalo.

Unless you want to gain a lot of weight do not eat here. The portions were freakishly huge not to mention everything doused in either butter and/or lots of salt. A fillet mignon with a final cooking method of clarified butter on top was disgusting. The day after the dinner I can still smell the burnt butter. A fine steak is to be cooked with some salt, pepper and that's it to truly enjoy the taste of the meat not butter on top, yuck! The quality of the meat was very good and cooked very well however the smallest fillet they have on the menu is 10 oz, that's big enough to feed a family of four. There is a serious obesity problem in America as a result of restaurants like this that give huge portions and cooking methods that will give you a coronary. The homemade French fries were delicious, worth getting. The apple pie was store bought and not worth it. The coffee came with cream and sugar and the sugar bowl had left over crusts caked on from a previous dessert that someone else must have had, dirty! The servers look like they have come out of prison and are now working in a restaurant. The dinner rolls are store bought and put in the oven last minute to give you that feeling it was freshly baked. The atmosphere inside was nice and unique. They even had a purse stool so that my wife could place her purse that cost the same as the monthly rental space of this restaurant. Overall would I return? No because the portions were too huge, cooking methods were over the top unhealthy, and the cleanliness of this place is questionable. Not impressed!

Husband and I ate here last year on my birthday... very pricey but worth it. Menu items ala carte but delicious. I recommend scalloped potatoes and asparagus! Beautiful building as well.
