I'm told that fresh seafood doesn't smell and tonight's visit to the Viking Lobster Co proved this to be true. I brought my mother for her birthday, as she wanted surf & turf. We started with the stuffed portabello mushroom, which was delish. Then came salads (we skipped the included soup), which were a decent size and not just iceberg. Now for the hits & misses....Mom loved her lobster, her steak (ordered well done) was actually medium/medium well. She refused to send it back, thinking she had offended the the cook. My steak (ordered medium) was medium rare... I loved the atmosphere and the cuts of meat, but the temp needs to be worked on. It must be noted we did NOT send our steaks back. I ate the most done parts of mine and brought the rest home to the boyfriend. So, I guess my review would be the seafood MUST all be fresh and yummy for those of you that eat it and the cook or waitress or whomever needs to work on preparing steaks to order.
