The restaurant was closed for a short time for improvements. When they reopened we went there to have their Shepherd's Pie which we have had for many years. As winter is approaching we decided to go there one night and ordered the pie. It was terrible. I inquired if they had a new chef and was told yes and that they were making changes. We informed the waitress that this was horrible and she did take care of us but there was nothing she could do about the food. A group of friends wanted to go there a week later so I thought I would give it another try. Bad mistake. I ordered the fajita salad and asked that the cheese and olives be kept off. My (SMALL) and I mean small salad arrived with lettuce, chicken and salsa on the side for about $12.00. Two others ordered the lunch special small sandwich and soup. The onion soups cheese on top was black and the rolls on the sandwich were stale. They did not want to complain so I informed the waitress of how bad it was and she gave them a 10% discount, no offering of anything to replace the bad food. We have been going there for over 30 years and it was always a hit with my family and friends, actually we usually go there for a holiday or two and my family is over ten people. We will never be back. In Buffalo there are so many great restaurants and this use to be one of them. What they should have done when they were closed for updating the restaurant was clean up the inside and leave the menu alone. We have continued to warn many of our friends so they don't experience the poor food they are substituting for what use to be a great menu.
