I have known this restaurant since they open. Now I live different place, but whenever I come back to Buffalo, Ming Cafe always provide my confort foods. My favorite dish is " singapore noddle", a little spicy, but the cheff add varieties of ingrediants like shrimp, porkm eggs and fresh vegetables. A little curry flavour makes me get hungry. Another my favorite dish is sour and spicy soup, this would be great, when it is winter. It makes you feel warm. This restaurant is so small, so if you go with some friends, I recommend to make a reservation. You never dissapoint about this restaurant.

Tiny and very elegant, the aromas welcome you as you enter. The menu offers many of the highlights of the late lamented Ming Teh of the old days in Fort Erie. The hot and sour soup was excellent, more hot than sour, but not overwhelmingly so. Hearty and complex with lots of yummy ingredients. The pork dumplings, pan fried, were delicate, moist and beautifully presented. The shrimp ricotta fried wontons, while fun and tasty, were a little more of a novelty to me...I could eat a bucketful of the dumplings though. The spinach tofu dumplings sounded delicious too, but next time. We ordered the escargot with shrimp and chickent, sichzuan chicken and fried beef strips, all hot! ANd indeed it was hot! All food was high quality carefully prepared. As delicious as everything was, the service is very slow. There is only the one server, the proprietor! So if you are in a hurry, come at a time when they are not busy...not sure when that is. All six tables were occupied when we were there, and our meal took about two hours. They seem to do a brisk take-out business as well, which may slow down the kitchen. Hopefully if they stay this popular they will get another server to supply water, tea and extra rice. But even with the slow service, I can;t wait to go back again. The food was simply fabulous.

One of the best places for Chinese Food. It does have the staple American-Chinese items, but also has various traditional Chinese dishes.

True to Buffalo form, their food is much more spicy than the any of the American Chinese food restaurants.

I've been here many times and the food and service are consistently excellent. It's run by a Chinese couple who definitely do things their way. Definitely not your typical Chinese take-out. And that's a very good thing.
