I have been to La Tee Da on several occasions over the past five years and have, until recently, been pleased with the entire experience. This past weekend, we went with friends and ate outside under the tent. The food was good and the service attentive. However - and this is a major issue - it was virtually impossible to carry on a relaxing conversation at our table. The ambient noise was so loud that we had to yell at other just to communicate simple sentences. Of course, at every other table, the same dynamic was happening, which means that the noise swelled with each passing minute as every table contributed to the growing din. The solution for us was to just nod at each other and suspend nearly all communication except for occasionally yelling in the ear of the person next to us. What an amazingly aversive experience. I cannot imagine ever returning. I suggest the management invest in some consultation with a sound engineer ( or some such profession) to see what might be done to alleviate the serious noise problem here. What a shame - La Tee Da used to be a fun place to visit.

we were there last saturday to celebrate a special occasion. Our server announced that it was his first day which was fine. Food was of poor quality, five dinners and none were more than room tempature. Two fish specials were not cooked through, we had to use a knife to cut into them..not good. When we finally did complain the owner had an attitude that was not like someone who wanted to know that we were not happy. We have been going to La tee da for many years now but that was our last time, there are too many places to enjoy a great meal in Buffalo, La Tee da is no longer one of them.

I love La Tee Da's . It's located right in the heart of the starving artist haven of Allentown. It's like one of the quaint little bistros I used to frequent when I lived in New York City, and has and outdoor courtyard in the back that is opened spring, summer, and fall. The food is delicious and exquisite and the prices are not half bad. About what you would pay if you went to a chain restaurant but such better quality food and atmosphere.

The restaurant succeeded my expectations.

The setting was perfect for a romantic dinner... nice lighting, lots of candles, cozy, interesting art and music, very relaxing

The waiter was great! very willing to let us try wines before purchasing them, he was helpful with picking out meals and had a sense of humor, really made us feel comfortable there.

We just happened to arrive at the same time the chef got there, and ended up having a nice conversation with him, which really added to our experience there... very nice decent guy! it's not often you get to meet the chef.

On top of that, everything about the food was perfectly cooked and service was fast. I have been to a lot of excellent restaurants, but this is one that i will remember.

I have been going to La Tee Da for several years now, but recently they extended their outdoor patio by putting in a new canvas roof and new lighting. It makes the patio appear even cozier than it was. If it's raining, it only adds to the atmosphere.
The wait staff is friendly, almost like family and the food is very good.
I usually order just an appetizer of either steamed mussels or clams, both made in white wine broth and enough for a meal at $11.00. It is served with fresh, crusty bread and is delicious.
Before your food arrives, you are served a bowl of olives, hummus and fresh bread.
Their baked cod special is delicious, as is most of the food.
