“Really fascinating cemetery”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

Great place to walk around. They also have tours. Some of the graves / mosuleums are very beautiful. In my opinion this beats other cemeteries that I have visited in Paris, France, and Savannah Georgia.

“Well upkept!”

The entire cemetery is beautiful. You may want to map out the plots of the graves you want to see beforehand, as this is a HUGE cemetery!

“A national treasure!”
Reviewed February 17, 2012

You really need to spend a few hours here. It is a beautifully landscaped cemetery with many famous people. The monuments are amazing and it is an enjoyable afternoon walking and or driving around on a self guided tour. There are many sites of historic interest. It sounds crazy, but my husband and I had a very enjoyable adventure here. You can see the graves of Rick James, Shirley Chisolm, Red Jacket and hundreds of others. Don't miss it. It is free unless you take a scheduled tour with a guide and "characters."

Forest Lawn is a beautiful place, full of history. You can go for a stroll, a guided history walk, or just to sit by the water in the sun. A really peaceful place.
