“Fresh and interesting”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

It was very hard to chose from their menu... so many things sounded great. I opted for the pear salad (fresh, light, perfect) and a braised short rib small plate special (wonderful and more than enough). There as a large event going on in the main dining area (apparently law firm bought the building and they were holding an event) so the 'normal' diners were in the events space. The main dining and bar area looked lovely though

“Looking for great food and wine? This is the place...”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

The food really impressed us here with high quality ingredients and service that was comfortable and easy. We enjoyed our dinner so much the first night, we came back the next for a nightcap at the bar after a mediocre dinner somewhere else! And it was reasonably priced to boot! Well done, we will be back...

“Upscale, delicious, excellent wine list”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bacchus one recent Saturday evening. The restaurant is just one block away from the Embassy Suites Hotel where we were staying. The menu is nicely structured around small plates and large plates, so you could easily eat tapas style. We enjoyed the fried tomato salad, beet salad, curried squash soup, and tomato soup. For large plates, we really enjoyed the halibut special, mussels, salmon, and "zucchini pasta" which is totally vegetarian and does not actually contain pasta. All of it was excellent. We were so full, we did not try dessert. But we did dive into the wine list, which is varied, but leans on the overly expensive side. Still, we found an interesting and affordable bottle of red we can't get a home - we enjoyed it so much we had two! The service was very attentive, and our server described each of the daily specials in mouth-watering detail. The room is airy and comfortable. My only quibble is that rather than leave basket of bread on the table, we were each served two small pieces, and never saw the bread basket again... a small thing. We would definitely go back to Bacchus.

“Great Food”

A great place to eat, but its not cheap. Crown rack of lamb, steak with reduction sauces. There is no well liquor, just top shelf.
