Almost next door to the best hostel in Buffalo. I loved the French onion soup

“Professional service and good selection, perfect pre-theater.”
Reviewed February 22, 2012

Located directly across Main Street from Shea's Theater in the heart of Buffalo's theater district, they offer efficient, respectful service while not skimping on quality. They handle the pre-show rush professionally, respecting the fact that most of the diners are time constrained. Soup, salad and panini are the right size portions with fresh tasting ingredients.

“Don't go there!”
Reviewed October 13, 2011

It's just across the street from Shea's Theater but find someplace else to eat even if it's not as close. The Bijou Grille is way overpriced and the quality of food is mediocre at best. My expensive mixed drink was very watered down. The baked manicottis must have started out as frozen mush but some of the dish ended up being burned --- the whole plate looked like it had been heated with a flamethrower. The tomato sauce was overly salted. There wasn't enough bread to go around and you'll find that anything as simple as a side salad costs extra. The waiter was surly and expressed absolutely no sympathy for my complaint about the manicottis. I also watched the head cook angrily berate a waitress--it just didn't seem like a warm place to visit.
