“No nonsense food served with a friendly smile”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

We stumbled upon this as we wanted to have a look in the shop and didn't realise there was a restaurant as well.
As it was around dinner time we decided to stay and have a bite to eat.
There was a good choice on the menu of basic food, nothing fancy but tasty and plenty of it.
Service was pretty quick and very friendly. Prices very reasonable.

“Food is always great! However the service this time was....”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

This was my first time at Cracker Barrel at this location, I never had any problem with this restaurant ever! However this time was a little different:

My sisters, our mom, brother in-law and aunt went there Sunday morning, first they told us our wait was 20mins... then about 15mins in, they told my aunt it will be 40mins!!

Our waitress was good, until she brought our drinks and ended up dropping my apple juice all over my mom, her purse and a new top she had just bought at he Cracker Barrel store for $35... She apologized several times, the manager came over to wipe up a few things... We said it was fine, there was no animosity, everyone makes mistakes... but then she just became very clumbsy dropping a dirty fork on the table when she picked up our dishes (some of the stuff on the fork slashed around)... She never apologized for that though...

Then the bill comes... they never even discounted or offered us anything for our inconvenience! We were gonna leave it alone, but my sister asked the manager, if we can get anything discounted for our inconvenience.... they ended up discounting it a by a few dollars.

“we know our place”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

while the food here was fine, once it arrived -- they were out of a special, not a good thing at 1:30 p.m. ... the staff has fine-tuned the skill of looking right through you, knowing you're there, aware of your presence, dumb to your needs... wish we'd realized there was a Quaker Steak right next door...

“looking right through you”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

The Cheap Gourmet and Barber Carl stumbled in here after golf, unable to find a suitable bar and grill over eight miles of Transit Road. Chain operations such as Cracker Barrell have all but doomed the mom-and-pops and our expectations here were not high, the moreso after finding this CB serves no beer. (That's not a rap on them, but it sure was a disappointment). Also noteworthy was the staff's almost univeral capability for looking right through us, sending our presence, but not our needs -- this persisted through seating, ordering, refilling and checking out. This said, the Barrell was surprisingly satisfactory, even though, at 1:30, they were down to one-remaining of the day's lunch special, a chicken breast with gravy. They substituted the next day's special, meat loaf. The food was quite good, a spendid lunch, and the addition of brown sugar to the sweet potatoes confirmed the kitchen skills. Couldn't beat the price, either, less than $20 for two. Also had the rare privilege of viewing, among the clientele, an Amishman packing a cell phone, clearly without precedent. Any way to get their attention....

“Busy but efficient”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

Their menu (southern style) is different enough from the other many restaurants in the area to make a nice chang. The place is hokey and kitschy, but the food is good and service fine.
