Open 24 hours, conveniently located, and the food is very good. The atmosphere is that of a diner/restaurant. At 8 pm on a Friday it was busy. The service was prompt and pleasant. The menu items skew towards Greek, but there are many American classics that run from comfort food to classic dinner entree. The kids menu had macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers, and chicken souvlaki among others. The chicken souvlaki beat out the macaroni and cheese for our young diner. The beef stew special was fantastic. The salads were well prepared with fresh ingredients. For desert we had rice pudding which was almost as good as grandma's. We were in the mood for a good solid meal well past our usual meal time because of travel delays--Alton's Family Restaurant was an excellent choice.
